Physics
Physics in the real world which include properties such as gravity should be a good model for digital physics. This includes computer simulations such as making a ball bounce, animating the wings of a flying creature, making grass blow in the wind, or using water and fire. Although many of these parameters have pre-defined settings in applications, understanding of the physical theory behind them will prove useful in having a customized output.
It helps to first understand properties of linear algebra in relation to physics. A vector is a construct that has a magnitude and direction. It can exist in 2d and 3d space:
